What I Do

As a Cinematographer, I do more than just point and shoot. The real work of a Cinematographer is in pre-production. I work to bring an idea to life and
to connect that idea to an audience. Collaboration,
discussion, research, storyboarding, planning, and so
on are the important foundations to be laid before
shooting day.

Beyond the creative work, I can provide camera
assistance by being a Camera Operator, pulling focus,
run the slate as a 2nd AC, or perform camera maintenance. I can work as a Gaffer, Key Grip, Best Boy, or Script/Continuity Supervisor as well.

As a Photographer, I primarily take candid photos of urban landscapes, public spaces, and events. I can also do portraits, fashion photo shoots, food photography, and abstract photography. I approach photography with the same lens as cinematography. The same ideating and prep work goes into it, and I always aim to imply something beyond what is physically in the photo, almost as if it were a still from a film.
